Our focus is to assist members of our community with their communication and leadership skills by providing a supportive and positive learning environment. This will enable members become confident speakers in every aspect of their lives. Toastmasters is a global organisation with clubs in over 142 countries with the mission of empowering individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders. Toastmasters was founded in 1924 (yes 1924!). Ralph Smedley who started the very first club saw a need for a club with a positive social environment that enabled its members to safely develop their speaking and professional skills.
